The Simpson Strong-Tie EPCZ series of post caps are used to attach the top of posts to beams. The next-generation EPC6RZ, for rough size lumber, post caps are designed with their post and beam flanges in-line so that one EPC8RZ model can accommodate several post sizes. The EPC8RZ now uses easier-to-install 10d common nails. An alternate choice of fasteners is Strong-Drive® #9 x 1-1/2″ SD Connector screws. The EPC68Z post cap is approved to be installed with the specified nails or with Strong-Drive SD connector screws. The Strong-Tie EPC8RZ post base features a G185 ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
Installation:
- Use all specified fasteners.
- Do not install bolts into pilot holes.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values

Stock is dynamic. It's not completely managed by us, as we are involved with multiple parties such as the factory and our storage. The actual stock can be changed at any time. It is possible that inventory could run out once your order has been placed.
The policy is for 30 days. We will not replace or refund your purchase after 30 days from the date of purchase.
In order for your item to be considered eligible for return it must be in its original packaging, unopened and in the same state as you received it in. It must also be in the original packaging.
